Erasmus + Project “Postcards from Europe”

2018, from 29 August till 7th of September, MasterPeace Georgia, Caucasus Youth Nexus and Social Vision organized Erasmus+ training course “Advocacy and Participatory Visual Art practices in Rural Areas”.

In the first stage of the project, participants had opportunity to acquire basics of photographic skills and competences, afterwards they shared this knowledge to local youth from Borjomi municipality. Participants of the program implemented cycles of trainings for 30 local young leaders in Bakuriani and Borjomi, topics of the training were: Creation of photo-collages, participatory photography and basic photographic skills. By using these methodologies participants had opportunity to spread the voice regarding the local challenges, to share their thought, ideas and problems to local community. 5th of September participants organized exhibition of their art-works, exhibition was interactive and local community was involved at high scale. All the local participants obtained certificate of participation for the program. During the project participants had opportunity to learn about local culture through visiting sightseeing such as Vardzia, Rabati and Khertvisi.
