Walls of Connection ACT! – Tetritskaro

Date Added: 15 August 2020 / 10:45

On 9th of August, 2020 we implemented another Walls of Connection activity in Tetritskaro, Georgia. The main topic of the event was youth empowerment and active lifestyle. We understand that the topic of active lifestyle among youth is one of the biggest challenges of today’s world. Alcohol, drug and nicotine dependence among young people is escalating in numbers. During the activity we discussed above mentioned topics and highlighted the importance of active lifestyle. Young Georgian artist @David Kelberashvili helped us to carry out the activity. He created the main concept of the painting and implemented a practical workshop for participants. He shared her personal experience about the field, discussed the history of graffiti and how we can transform the idea into reality. We would like to thank him for his amazing work! Here we should also mention that during the activity we had a chance to meet young people living in the area of Tetritskaro. This activity was extremely interesting as those young people were representing ethnic minorities. The activity turned out to be engaging and compelling. They expressed their interest in trying themselves in spray art. The activity was implemented in the framework of the ongoing project “ACT”, which has four main directions such as: Walls of Connection , Digital Storytelling , Concerts and Conferences In the direction of Walls of Connection we already painted the walls in: Khashuri, Surami, Bakuriani, Gori, Tsitelsopeli and Marneuli. The main aim of the project is: to promote young artists, help young people in being involved in social processes and activate them. Hereby we want to say thanks to the representative of the local youth center @Luso Dostibegiani, who helped us in the process of implementing the activity. We would also like to say thanks to the representative of the Municipality Mr. Vaja Sulkhanishvili for attending the event. We try to change the walls of our country and make it more interesting and informative!
