On August 22, 2001, the Board rescinded the residency policy adopted under Board Report #97-0827-PO4, and adopted its current residency policy 01-0822-PO2, which requires all full-time employees hired on or after November 20, 1996 to be actual residents of the City of Chicago, sets forth disciplinary actions for teachers, principals and all other employees and provides for waiver of the policy upon Board action.
