While Im sure that some of what we are seeing is driven by good intentions, Im also sure that a lot of it is driven by politics, fear of cancel culture, and cynical attempts by brands to hitch their wagons to the latest hot-button social issues. Youre right, Richey, theres definitely a feeling of fatigue setting in, and not just among whites. Forced Diversity is a buzzword thrown by bigots to rationalize critiques against works featuring diverse people on the merit that diverse people make a work "worse." Remember, brands and advertisers: its not diverse or inclusive if it doesnt include everybody. From there, your marketing will naturally reflect the ethos.
