Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Melvin Carroll, Dothan, AL; four daughters, Kathy Collella, Dothan, AL, Sandy McConnell, Madian, NC, Kimberly Price, Dothan, AL, Nicole Lasseter, Dothan, AL; a brother, Kenneth Carroll, Lorain, Ohio; a sister, Patricia Hughes. Mrs. Raines loved working with her hands and was a master seamstress, enjoyed needlework and loved to cook for her family. Mrs. James Grover Jimmy Meggs, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at his residence. Rev. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
