Competition of Ideas – For Establishing and Realizing Social Entrepreneurship

Members of Caucasus Youth Nexus and MasterPeace Eastern Partnership and Central Asia Regional Hub attended European Union supported program “Social Entrepreneurship – Innovative Approach for Economic and Social changes”, organized by Strategic Research and Development Centre of Georgia. Main aim of the project is to support social entrepreneurship development through supporting establishing social entrepreneurship ideas with social impact on society.

16 ideas of social entrepreneurship were selected for the second phase of the program. First course of intensive trainings regarding the topic took place in Tskhaltubo, Imereti region. Training courses aim to improve theoretical and practical knowledge of the represented organizations, in order to develop those ideas translating them from the idea to successful business-plan for the future social enterprise.

Under the program participants attended training courses on specific topics such as: Introduction of social entrepreneurship, marketing, finances, running the enterprise, business-planning and resource mobilization. After the one-month long training organizing organization will provide financial support to 4 or 5 ideas.
