Megan Black’s visit at MasterPeace Georgia

On July 20th, 2019 started the BECC Exchange program: Megan Black’s visit at MasterPeace Georgia. The visit lasted for 1 week and ended on 26th of July.
On July 20th Megan visited MasterPeace Eastern Partnership and Central Asia Regional Organization. Our team made a presentation about the main directions the organization is working on and the current projects related to arts and culture, such as ACT! (Artists Create Together) that is implemented under the framework of Creative Twining.
On July 21st, we visited Fabrika. We met with the brand and marketing manager Marika Kvirkvelidze. She introduced the concept of Fabrika and shared her experiences of cultural events in one of the most popular spots of Tbilisi.
During the visit we implemented three workshops in: Tbilisi, Khashuri and Gori. The main topic of the workshops was collective creative photography. Local young people were excited to participate in the events mentioned above. We should also mention that Tbilisi’s workshop was hosted by the company “Dekke”. The founders: Giorgi Tsereteli and Tata Bebiashvili discussed their working strategies.
On 23rd of July we attended a conference organized by “Georgia-Europe Institute” and “Friedrich Naumann Foundation”. During the conference we discussed what are the challenges existing in Georgia and how we should react to them.
At the end of the visit we visited the founder of the Impact Hub Georgia, Ms Elene Jvania. Ms Elene shared her experience and knowledge about the field.
