Walls of Connection

Date Added: 16 July 2020 / 20:27

On 10th of July, 2020 we implemented another Walls of Connection activity in Tsitelsopeli, Georgia. The main topic of the event was youth empowerment and active lifestyle.
We understand that the topic of active lifestyle among youth is one of the biggest challenges of today’s world.
Young Georgian artist with the nickname of @TamOonz helped us to carry out the activity. She created the main concept of the painting and implemented a practical workshop for participants. She shared her personal experience about the field, discussed the history of graffiti and how we can transform the idea into reality.
Here we should also mention that during the activity we had a chance to meet young people living in the village of Tsitelsopeli. This activity was extremely interesting as those young people were representing ethnic minorities. What’s more, we did not have a common language but despite these challenges the activity turned out to be engaging and compelling. They expressed their interest in trying themselves in spray art.
The activity was implemented in the framework of the ongoing project “ACT”, which has four main directions such as: Walls of Connection, Digital Storytelling, Concerts and Conferences
In the direction of Walls of Connection we already painted the walls in: Khashuri, Surami, Bakuriani, Gori and Marneuli.
The main aim of the project is: to promote young artists, help young people in being involved in social processes and activate them.
Hereby we want to say thanks to the local youth worker Aram Akopyan who helped us in the process of implementing the activity.
We try to change the walls of our country and make it more interesting and informative! Join us! Le’ts make MasterPeaces together!
