Youth Kiev Security forum 2017

9-10 February, 2017, President of Caucasus Youth Nexus Giorgi Azariashvili and Head of MasterPeace Eastern Partnership and Central Asia Regional office Levan Gorgadze attended Kiev Youth Security Forum 2017, in Kiev, Ukraine.

Main concept of the forum was to promote youth leaders and organizations from Baltic and Black Sea region countries, promote democratic values and make its citizens more active.

Over 100 Young participants from various countries of Europe were divided into 10 working groups, where they elaborated working plan towards development of civil societies. Speeches were delivered by officials representing EU and NATO institutions. Topics of the working groups were: International Security; Process of reforms and transformation; Development of Civil society.

High level officials from NATO and EU were represented in the forum:  Arseniy Yatsenyuk (2014-2016 Prime minister of Ukraine), Ihor Zhdanov (Minister of sports and youth), Natalie Ann Jaresko – former minister of economy Ukraine, Markus Meckel – former minister of foreign affairs of GDR, Danylo Lubkivsky – Deputy minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine, Hannadiy Kovalenko – Colonel general staff of military forces of Ukraine, also  Journalists, experts and professors from different universities.

In the end of forum Director of Open Ukraine Foundation Taras Mikhalnuk addressed participants and thanked for their active participation in forum.
